I’m Kelly,

I am extremely passionate about supporting clients in processing experiences that have shaped them into who they are today. The feeling of being stuck or uncertain about the future is not a foreign one to me personally.

Throughout different periods of my life, I sought therapeutic support for various traumas. I had some positive experiences in therapy, and some experiences that left me swearing I’d never step foot in another therapy session again which is why I deeply honor the therapeutic connection. While the experiences I navigated throughout my life varied, digging deep and addressing core wounds is what truly led me in the direction of my own healing journey.

I’ve learned that ruminating and dwelling on certain areas of life can immobilize us. People pleasing doesn’t necessarily make relationships easier or better. When working with clients, it’s important to me that they have a soft landing, a place where they are able to acknowledge the discomfort they’ve been experiencing in non-judgmental space.

This is a space in which I get to remind you that you are worthy of and capable of accessing certain relationships and a life that fulfills you, provides you with support and safety - one that you enjoy living!

When I’m not sitting with clients…

I love spending time with my husband, friends, and family. Some of my hobbies include enjoying the outdoors, exercising at the gym, baking, road-trips, and watching movies. We have recently welcomed a new member into our family named Harvey. Harvey is a sweet goldendoodle that is in the process of being trained as a therapy dog; he may or may not join in on sessions from time to time as well.

I truly believe the power of safe connection provides healing in itself.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Chapman University and went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology, with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Pepperdine University. I am dedicated to staying informed about the latest therapeutic approaches and research to provide you with the most effective and evidence-based support on your path to self-discovery.

Building community is one of my core values.

In addition to practicing as a therapist, I am also the Director of Community at The Process Wellness Collective. In this role I  establish and maintain relationships through hosting events and community building workshops. I find immense joy and fulfillment in planning events that encourage community members to gather, connect, and celebrate.

I am human first, therapist second.

We get to make this what you want and need it to be. This work is entirely about you, for you.

THEREPUETIC APPROACH

My lived experience has led me into this role, and my education and training have supported me in my professionalism. I don’t shy away from your pain, I compassionately encourage you to sit with it, reminding you that you’re supported during this process.

I have found that the most beneficial way to approach healing is to go at the client's pace. Through a psychodynamic and integrative approach I am able to maintain the ability to tailor each session to my clients specific needs. Some clients enjoy sitting in my office for session as it provides them with a safe and secure place to explore the more vulnerable parts of themselves, and others enjoy walk and talk therapy where we meet at my office and walk around the building area and can sit outside for session. In addition, I am trained in brainspotting which is a somatic form of therapy that allows you to access trauma that is stored in your subcortical brain (the area responsible for motion, consciousness, emotions, and learning).
